Joint unit battles are when different local groups get together. This type of event is larger than our normal practices and gives folks a chance to meet new fighters.

We're Heroic Health Group's physical activity group for family fun! Arm yourself with foam weapons and defense gear, including swords, shields, bows, spears, and more—then pick up skills (or share your own techniques!) and enjoy some excellent medieval and Norse-inspired games! If you're new to the sport: throw whatever you've heard about foam fighting/boffer out the window. There's no LARP, characters, or magic involved. When we say this is a sport, we mean it! There are teams, games, practices, points, winners, and tons of fun for all involved. See you on the battlefield! —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- WHAT TO BRING/WEAR: + A large water bottle to stay hydrated + Closed-toe running shoes + Cool, breathable athletic/workout clothing + Protective gear (optional, but recommended) + A light snack + Sunscreen (We have tons of gear already available to loan to you, but if you have foam-fighting-legal foam weapons/etc., feel free to bring your own!) —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- NOTE: We accept fighters of any size, gender, or age (10+). Anyone under 18 can only play with in-person parent/guardian consent. Anyone under 12 must have a guardian present throughout the duration of the event.. Remember that this is a contact sport, and though we actively work to minimize and eliminate risks, there is always a chance for bodily injury or other damages, so protective gear (e.g., hockey masks, elbow/knee pads, wrist guards, etc.) is highly recommended.
